Kloska and Aida: “Binding cooperation” for five years

“Committed” and “at eye level”: The Rostock-based cruise line Aida and the outfitter group Kloska have agreed to continue their cooperation.

The shipping company, which belongs to the US group Carnival, will thus continue to rely on the outfitting services of Basté & Lange, a subsidiary of the Kloska Group.

Founded in Bremen in 1981, the group now comprises 20 companies at 30 locations in Germany and abroad following various expansions and takeovers.

For Aida, the good coverage is one of the reasons for continuing the cooperation. The agreement announced today means that the “long-standing cooperation will be continued on a binding basis for the next five years”.

“The extension of this partnership underlines the great confidence in our performance,” says Nadine Kloska, Managing Partner of the Kloska Group. The outfitter is responsible for supplying the entire Aida cruise fleet. “This requires precise planning, reliable processes and maximum flexibility – especially during the double loading period in October, shortly before the majority of the eleven ships set off on their winter cruises around the world,” says Kloska.

In order to guarantee this, the family-run group of companies has, by its own account, taken extensive steps to optimize its logistics processes over the past year. These include investments in infrastructure, such as the modernization of the vehicle fleet and software solutions, as well as the continuous optimization of software processes. “Innovative technologies and a well thought-out infrastructure are two important prerequisites for us to be able to implement the complex logistics requirements in the best possible way and guarantee punctual delivery to the ships – no matter where in the world the eleven ships are located,” explains Alexander Doden, Managing Director of Basté & Lange GmbH.

The cooperation between Aida Cruises and the Kloska Group is “based on a partnership of equals”, the press release continues. Anne Albrecht, Director Logistics at Aida Cruises, said: “When it comes to supplying our fleet, we want a partner who meets the highest quality standards. We are therefore delighted to have found a service provider in Basté & Lange GmbH and the Kloska Group that wants to continue to develop with us.”
