Kevin King is the new Managing Director of TT Club, an insurer specialising in transport and logistics.
He took up the position on 1 August, completing a change that was announced last year. King takes over from Charles Fenton, who will continue to support the company on the board. The two had worked closely together beforehand to ensure a smooth handover.
US-born King has already been working for the companies managed by Thomas Miller for some time. He moved to London in 2015 to head up the insurance company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Most recently, he was Chief Operating Officer.
“Kevin is well placed to lead TT into a challenging future,” said outgoing CEO Fenton. He has extensive experience and strong management skills from which the company will benefit. “The TT Board and I have every confidence in his leadership and I welcome him to his new role.”
King will now lead the insurer through the next phase in its 56-year history. “It has long been a privilege to work for a purpose-driven company,” he said on taking up his post as CEO, “and it is a privilege to lead it now.”
The club is in a good position to succeed both as an insurer and as a “positive force for change in the industry”. “I am grateful to Charles for his mentoring and leadership throughout my career, and I am grateful that he will remain closely associated with the company.”
