Since 1st September 2024, the ShipConsult team provides its renowned services under the new brand »Jasco ShipConsult«. This new name reflects the affiliation with Jasco Applied Sciences, the industry leader in underwater acoustics.
The combination of expertise in shipacoustics and underwater acoustics comes handy in times of an increased demand for underwater radiated noise control. A significant proportion of this increase is attributable to the defence sector.
During the last 2.5 years the subsea domain gained substantial higher attention among NATO states. A flawless underwater noise signature control of surface and subsurface vessel is a top priority to sustain the technological advantage on the maritime battlefield. Moreover acoustic surveillance systems got a higher relevance in the context of protecting critical maritime infrastructure. The experience in applying underwater listening devices for military purposes as well as for marine mammal detection enables Jasco to provide such services without lengthy development processes.
The other reason for an increased interest in underwater noise control originates from upcoming regulations on vessel’s underwater noise emissions.
