Yacht builder Heesen has handed over the “Cinderella Noel IV” to the owner. Prior to this, the ship with the construction number YN 20150 was tested intensively in the North Sea.
During the three-day sea trials in the North Sea, the yacht exceeded all expectations, according to yacht builder Heesen, who built the “Cinderella Noel IV” as an intelligent custom yacht based on its proven technical platform. The tests were carried out in wave heights of up to 2.60 m and wind speeds of up to 30 knots.
Heesen newbuild gets hybrid propulsion
According to the shipyard, the owner has opted for a hybrid propulsion system. This consists of diesel and electric motors that supply energy for propulsion and hotel operations. At the heart of the hybrid system are the yacht’s two MTU engines (8V4000 M63, IMO Tier III), which are each coupled with a 135kW water-cooled Danfoss electric motor on the same propeller shaft. This configuration offers versatility, flexible energy management and redundancy thanks to the three operating modes.
