On the first day of SMM 2024, the International Maritime Museum in Hamburg once again became the center of the maritime world.
After a successful first day at SMM, more than 400 participants from across the industry met at the museum in the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district. Representatives from shipping companies, suppliers, shipyards and the navy came together for a well-deserved evening in a relaxed atmosphere.
Peter Tamm welcomed over 400 guests at HANSA’s SMM reception
“We are proud to welcome so many guests here,” said Peter Tamm, Managing Director of TAMM Media, in his opening speech in English. “Thank you very much for coming today. Here’s to a great evening – let’s talk business all night.”
HANSA Editor-in-Chief Krischan Förster and Florian Visser, Commercial Publishing Director of Schiffahrts-Verlag “Hansa”, also welcomed the guests and thanked everyone involved in this year’s SMM. “Here’s to a wonderful evening and a successful trade fair,” concluded Visser, before he opened the bar with the words of Schiller – “Pour, pour, the prince is in a good mood!” – opened the bar.
What followed was an evening among friends and numerous opportunities for “business talk” between historical ship models and exhibits.
