Stelzel has been working at PRA since 2018 and has successfully contributed to increasing the efficiency of the supply chain in various functions. She also has a wealth of experience in the German automotive industry, including at ZF in Friedrichshafen, in logistics and in the field of digitalization. In her future role, she will focus on the efficient and sustainable handling of containers throughout the entire supply chain via the port of Rotterdam.
Rotterdam anticipates growth in container handling
Container throughput in Rotterdam is expected to increase by an additional 8 million TEU by 2035. This would be an increase of around 55% compared to the 14.5 million TEU recently reported in the previous year. It is, therefore, necessary to seamlessly integrate sea and hinterland traffic and organize more efficient port-hinterland connections.
Matthijs van Doorn, Vice President Commercial at the Port of Rotterdam Authority: “Rotterdam invested early in expanding the port’s capacity and will support this growth in a sustainable and efficient way. With her many years of experience in digital process optimization and hinterland logistics, Hanna Stelzel is the right person to support us in realizing these ambitions.”
