Deugro: New top management for North America

German project logistics group Deugro is repositioning its top management level for its North American business. New markets are to be developed and the business expanded.

Jeff Smith has been appointed to the position of Vice President and Country Manager of Deugro (USA), Inc, it has now been announced. He has been with Deugro for 14 years, during which time he has worked in Houston and Australia. Previously, Smith worked for DSV and Kühne+Nagel, among others.

He has “extensive international leadership experience and has managed Deugro’s global supply chains and supported organizational development in various regions,” according to a statement. In his new role, Smith will have overall responsibility for country leadership, operational and commercial performance and ongoing organizational development in the US.

In addition, Ryan Blewett is moving to the position of Vice President, Strategy and Development for Deugro in North America. He will focus on strategic initiatives, targeted business development and key strategic accounts.

“These changes mark an exciting new chapter for Deugro. Jeff and Ryan will play a key role in realizing our growth objectives and strengthening our operational excellence,” said Tobias M. Schultz, President of deugro in North America. Their focus is clearly on developing new markets and expanding project and supply chain logistics. “I am very pleased that they are taking on these new responsibilities as we continue to shape the future of our company,” Schultz continued.
