In her new role as General Manager, Yavuz will be responsible for setting the course for profitable growth, innovation and development in the shipping sector. She joined the company in 1991 and has held various positions, most recently as Regional Manager of Chevron Marine Products for Northwest Europe and the Americas.

“I am very proud and honored to lead Chevron’s global marine business at such an important and exciting time in the industry,” said Yavuz. “A key focus will be to find ways to support the decarbonization efforts of the shipping industry. As an integrated energy company, we have a responsibility to support our customers in this new era and beyond.”

Together with Chevron’s subsidiary Renewable Energy Group, the new marine chief intends to expand the company’s presence in the field of renewable marine fuels.
