Buss Ports expands capacity in Eemshaven

New capacity for offshore handling has been added at the Buss terminal in Eemshaven.

The expansion includes the extension of the storage area for heavy goods by 15 ha and a 200 m long quay connection to Beatrixhaven. The company is thus establishing itself as a leading provider of offshore wind logistics in the European North Sea.

The new area includes priority access to the Beatrixhaven heavy lift quay with a handling capacity of up to 30 t/m² and is directly connected to the existing areas and quay of the terminal in the Julianahafen, according to a statement.

“With this expansion, we can meet the increasing demands of our customers, especially in the offshore wind sector, and continue to offer flexible logistics solutions for a wide range of industries,” says Marc Wegman, Managing Director of Buss Terminal Eemshaven.

With a total area of 460,000 m², Buss Terminal Eemshaven offers additional capacity for customers in the offshore, onshore and breakbulk business. The terminal reportedly has its own specialized equipment such as reach stackers, heavy lift cranes and SPMT.
