Jennie Borgström is the new Managing Director of Alfa Laval Mid Europe, the Hamburg headquarters of the Swedish technology group Alfa Laval, and is responsible for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Borgström succeeds Sven Schreiber, who is taking on the role of President for the Marine Division “Water, Wind and Fuels” within Alfa Laval. The Swede brings a strong industry background to her new role. She started her career at Alfa Laval in 2001 and has held several leadership positions since then: Most recently, she was Cluster President for Southeast Asia and Oceania and Managing Director of Alfa Laval South East Asia and previously – from 2017 to 2020 – President of the Food Heat Transfer business unit.
Alfa Laval Mid Europe is one of over 100 sales companies worldwide and the DACH region is an important market for the Swedish group, which is listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. With components and new technologies for heat transfer, separation and fluid handling, Alfa Laval is positioning itself globally for an industrial transition to better energy efficiency and heat recovery with lower emissions, better water treatment and new forms of nutrition.
Management initially for one year
Borgström, who will initially take over as CEO for one year, says: “Germany’s industry is facing huge challenges: Cutting costs, operating sustainably and innovating at the same time. With our technologies for a wide range of industries in the energy, marine, food, water and pharmaceutical sectors, we offer concrete solutions for making industrial processes more efficient, sustainable and cost-conscious.”
