Björn Säljö is the new CEO of stabilization systems specialist Humphree. He comes from shareholder Volvo Penta.
The Swedish technology company Humphree has a new boss: Björn Säljo is moving from Volvo Penta. He succeeds Helena Lennersted.
Säljo has worked at Volvo Penta for more than 20 years and brings experience from the areas of product development, sales and distribution to his new post. For the past four years, he has been driving the business forward as Vice President of the industrial service market. Volvo Penta has been the majority owner of Humphree since 2016.
“I am very pleased to welcome Björn as the new CEO of Humphree,” said Ewa Gierc, Chairwoman of Humphree’s Supervisory Board. “His deep commercial knowledge of leisure and commercial shipping, his performance-driven leadership style and his experience in building strong customer relationships will be a great asset to the company.”
Säljö will take over the role with immediate effect and will work with the existing management and staff to further develop Humphree’s strategy and offering. The company specializes in trim and stabilization systems for the maritime sector.
“I am honored to take on this position and very pleased to be part of the company at this exciting time,” said Säljo. “Together we will ensure continued success in the competitive environment, drive innovation and deliver value to our customers. I look forward to building strong relationships across the supply chain – from suppliers to customers – and contributing as part of the talented and dedicated Humphree team.”
Säljö’s predecessor Helena Lennersted has left the company at her own request to pursue “new professional opportunities”, according to the statement. The Management Board thanked her for her work and wished her all the best for the future.
