The Norwegian battery specialist Corvus Energy, which claims to be the “leading provider of zero-emission solutions for shipping”, wants to benefit more from the shipbuilding capacity in China and is opening a new branch.
Corvus has announced the opening of a new office in Shanghai. This strategic expansion is intended to underline its commitment to supporting shipowners, shipyards, integrators and other partners in the Chinese shipbuilding industry.
Corvus currently has four branches in Norway as well as offices in the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, USA and in Asia in Singapore, Japan and South Korea. The office in Shanghai will serve as a central hub to support local customers and partners with sales and services.

Ren Li has been appointed Country Manager. He has extensive experience with large maritime companies such as Rolls Royce, Wärtsila and Bergen Engines as well as Corvus Energy in Norway. He has now relocated to Shanghai to lead the expansion of in the region.
“The increase in deliveries to China makes the Shanghai office a natural next step. Local knowledge and presence are crucial to provide the necessary support for the future. I look forward to building a strong local team to pursue both sales activities and project installations,” said Li.
