The first Atlantique yacht has been launched at the Palumbo shipyard in Ancona and christened “Night Jury II”.
This was announced by the Italian yacht builder Columbus Yachts. It is the first of three units that are to be delivered to their respective owners by the summer. The ceremonial christening of the first Atlantique 43m under the name “Night Fury II” has now taken place in the presence of the owner and his family.
The 43-meter-long “Columbus Atlantique”, with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, was designed by Hot Lab Studio. Palumbo Superyachts, in collaboration with Studio Hydro Tec, developed the ship’s technology.
The “Night Fury II” was designed with the owner and his family in mind and is characterised by large outdoor areas that merge with the spacious interior, according to the shipyard. The interior areas of the main and upper decks allow total contact with the surrounding landscape.
Atlantique yachts are powered by Cat engines
The “sail-like” stern of the Atlantique 43 m is perhaps her most characteristic area, according to Columbus Yachts. The central swimming pool is surrounded by an aft-facing C-shaped seat. The entire area is very low on the water, as the stern has been “buried”; it is actually 50 cm above the water’s surface, and thanks to the two folding side wings, you get the impression of being in direct contact with the water, it continues.
There are four double cabins on the lower deck, two VIP cabins with en-suite bathrooms on the sides of the hull and two twin cabins. The forward area of the lower deck is dedicated to the crew and offers four double cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms, a crew mess and a washroom.
The 5.5 m long dinghy is housed at the stern, where the garage is also located on the starboard side. The second dinghy (lifeboat) and two jet skis have their own area on the forward main deck.
Powered by two Cat C32 Acert engines with 970 kW, the Columbus Atlantique 43 reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14.5 knots.
