Jens-Ole Krenzien, responsible for the Northern Europe region at the liner shipping company Maersk, has left the company after 25 years. A successor has not yet been appointed.
The Northern Europe division (NEC) is one of the largest regions within the Group and accounts for around 40% of sales in Europe. As Area Manager, Jens-Ole Krenzien was at the helm for many years. But now it’s over. [ds_preview]
“We are very grateful to Jens-Ole for his work and wish him all the best for his future endeavors,” says Aymeric Chandavoine, Executive Vice President and President Europe.
Krenzien started as a trainee at Maersk
Krenzien has been with Maersk continuously since 1998, starting as a trainee and subsequently holding various positions in China. After returning to Europe in 2012, he worked as Managing Director for Maersk Line in Germany and Austria before becoming Cluster Manager for the newly created North West Continent division. In January 2019, he took over the management of the integrated Ocean and Logistics & Services organization in Maersk’s North Europe Continent Area, which includes the DACH countries as well as Benelux and Poland.
Maersk manager Francisco Ulloa will initially take over the business until the official succession plan is in place. He took over the role of European Head of the Ocean division in February.
